Introduction: At 9:50 on November 2, 2019, the Bayu Tunnel, a key control project of the Lhasa-Nyingchi Section of Sichuan-Tibet Railway, was successfully completed, which was listed as a class I high-risk tunnel by the State Railway Corporation. During the construction, it created the highest record of 7015 meters of blind-heading in plateau railway tunnel.

Geothermal, rock burst, fault are the major problems. The total length is 11,660m, and the single-track tunnel length is 11.357m, with a station tunnel length of 303m. The maximum burial depth is 1,800m.

Introduction: Zangga tunnel is located in the Yarlung Zangbu Grand Canyon, Tibet, with an altitude of more than 3500m. With a total length of 8.876 kilometers, it is an I-class high-risk tunnel and listed as a whole line controlled key and difficult project.

Application: tunnel cooling. The air in the tunnel is thin and has low oxygen content. The wall temperature reaches as high as 60 ℃ and the block ice is used for cooling the tunnel. In the picture, workers are carrying the ice blocks.
