1,500 kg/h Quick Freezing Project for Poultry in Guangxi, China
-
Double spiral quick freezer
The double spiral quick freezer consists of an insulation system, transmission system, and heat exchange system, all engineered to meet the client's specific processing requirements. Designed with a freezing capacity of 1,500 kg/h and a first-in, first-out linear flow design, it features a compact structure that optimizes space while delivering exceptional freezing performance. The quick freezing system rapidly lowers the temperature of poultry products, such as chicken feet, ensuring uniform freezing while preserving their nutritional value and texture, ultimately enhancing their overall market competitiveness.

Insulation system
- Constructed with stainless steel polyurethane sandwich panels, forming a fully enclosed insulated chamber with a filling density of 42 kg/m³. The chamber dimensions are 12,990 mm (L) × 5,290 mm (W) × 3,965 mm (H), providing an optimal freezing environment. The interior is equipped with low-temperature explosion-proof LED lighting to ensure safe operations.
- The cold storage door is fitted with a self-regulating heating device and a magnetic sensor switch, preventing ice buildup around the seals and ensuring that the door remains fully operational at all times for safety.
- The flooring structure is made of welded stainless steel plates with drainage channels on both sides. A slightly raised central section creates a natural gradient toward the drains, allowing efficient defrost water removal. Four drainage outlets accelerate the discharge process, reducing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining a clean working environment.

Transmission system
The transmission system adopts low-tension synchronous transmission technology, ensuring stable and reliable operation throughout the freezing process. An auxiliary transmission device works in coordination with the main system, maintaining consistent speed control and performance stability. All components are constructed from high-strength stainless steel, providing exceptional durability and corrosion resistance to extend the equipment’s lifespan.
The conveyor belt contact surfaces are made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) wear-resistant materials, ensuring long-term durability and minimizing friction-related wear. The system is designed with a 1,600 mm feed inlet and a 500 mm discharge outlet, improving overall processing efficiency.

The rotary drum is equipped with a large stainless steel sprocket, utilizing a chain-driven transmission system. The sprocket's diameter matches that of the rotary drum, reducing chain tension and ensuring smoother and more stable drum rotation.
-
The high-strength spiral horseshoe conveyor belt is controlled by a variable frequency power system, allowing for stepless speed adjustment to optimize freezing efficiency. Anti-slip chain plates are installed on both sides of the belt to prevent product slippage during transport. The belt strength meets the U.S. "Ashworth" standard, ensuring durability and reliability in demanding industrial applications.

Heat exchange system
- Innovative evaporator design directs strong cold airflow straight onto the products, reducing equipment length while expanding the heat exchange surface area, significantly enhancing freezing efficiency.
- Evaporator fins feature a variable fin spacing design, increasing the air-facing gap to effectively slow frost accumulation and improve heat exchange performance.
- Constructed with Φ20 mm × 2 mm aluminum alloy tubing, paired with thick anti-corrosion aluminum alloy fins, forming a high-strength, corrosion-resistant heat exchange core.
- The outer frame is made of stainless steel and has undergone a 24 kg/cm² pressure test with a 24-hour continuous nitrogen pressure verification, ensuring durability and leak resistance.
- The ventilation system features axial fans with fully enclosed, low-temperature, moisture-resistant, and waterproof motors, delivering high efficiency, low noise, and smooth operation.
- Motor blades are constructed from rust-proof aluminum alloy, while the air ducts and protective covers are made from stainless steel, ensuring an efficient return air system that optimizes the freezing effect.

Glazing machine
- Utilizes serpentine coil evaporator heat exchange technology to maintain the water bath temperature at 0°C, ensuring rapid and uniform ice coating chicken feet.
- Constructed entirely from food-grade stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, and compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
- Enhances product freshness by preserving moisture and texture throughout the freezing process.
- The evenly applied ice glaze improves product weight and surface gloss, further enhancing market value and competitiveness.
-
Re-freezing machine
The re-freezing machine further reinforces and stabilizes the ice glaze, ensuring tight adhesion without air pockets while isolating the product from air and moisture. This process helps the chicken feet maintain optimal texture, color, and nutritional value in a frozen state, preventing thawing or spoilage due to temperature fluctuations during long-term storage and transportation.

Refrigeration system
- Equipped with Bitzer-brand compressors, delivering high-efficiency cooling and stable operation.
- Designed for tropical climates and coastal environments, utilizing evaporative cooling heat exchange technology and constructed with corrosion-resistant stainless steel inside and out. This ensures long-term stable performance even under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.
- Each refrigeration unit is fitted with electronic pressure sensors and safety valves that trigger automatic alerts and system protection programs in case of abnormal pressure fluctuations, enhancing safety and reliability.
